Online event. May 14
The last meeting of Jewish Italy Around the World will be held on Zoom on Thursday, May 14 at 6:30 (CEST/Italian time) and it will be dedicated to the presentation of Amsterdam’s Jewish Cultural Quarter!
At the Jewish Cultural Quarter in Amsterdam, more than 400 years of Dutch Jewish history, culture, and heritage can be found, spread across five locations. The collections, however, also contain objects from all corners of the world, owing in part to the international character and history of Amsterdam’s Jewish community. In this presentation, Lisa de Goffau (curator) will guide you through the Italian Jewish heritage represented in the collection, as we explore the longstanding relationship between the communities in Italy and Amsterdam.
